TVAZZ

This small professional acting troupe was founded in 2006. Since their first play, “The First Ladies by Werner Schwab (“Die Präsidentinnen”), the troupe has quickly developed into a full-blown company. A company that deals with visual arts - play, dance, video, photo, design, stage, lights, graphics, costumes, instillations, performance, music etc. – everything that can be seen on stage.
TVAZZ is a network and a forum where artists can meet, plan, comment, support, spar, encourage, discuss and inspire one another.
TVAZZ has grown from the unique environment that is the theatre, and theatre will - first and foremost - be the foundation of TVAZZ. The upcoming project is going to be the play “The Fundamentalist”.
Yet TVAZZ is a living entity, always changing, evolving and shaped by those who are a part of it. The principal aim is to create projects – plays, shows, exhibitions, concerts – at a high artistic level. The operation is based in The Faroe Islands, but the co-operation is world wide. Creating opportunity for international co-operation, and inviting foreign artists and reuniting Faroese “artistic expatriates” back on our shores to play is what TVAZZ is all about.

2009: 4:48 Pscychosis by Sara Kane. Performed at Tórshavn`s Mental Hospital

TVAZZ er en professionel teatergruppe som blev grundlagt i 2006. Siden deres første stykke, Præsidentinderne (Die Präsidentinnen) af Werner Schwab, har gruppen udviklet sig til en stor enhed. En gruppe som fungerer indenfor visuel kunst. - Teater, dans, performance, video, foto, design, lys, grafik etc. Alt som kan ses på en scene. TVAZZ er et netværk og et forum hvor kunstnere kan mødes, planlægge, kommentere, støtte, sparre og inspirere hinanden.
TVAZZ er vokset ud af teatermiljøet, og teater vil altid være hovedgrundlaget under TVAZZ. TVAZZ er en levende organisme under konstant forandring; men hovedprinsippet vil altid være at skabe projekter på et højt kunstnerisk niveau. TVAZZ har hjemsted på Færøerne; men samarbejdet er verdensomspendende. At invitere udenlandske kunstnere, og at genforene færøske kunstnere boende i udlandet er hvad TVAZZ handler om.

2008: Tvazz spiller Fundamentalisten på Tampere Teater Festival. Juha Jokela vinder Nordisk Dramatikerpris 2008 for stykket.
2009: 4:48 Psychosis af Sara Kane. Opført på Tórshavsn psykiatrisk hospital.
